The Home and Dry Fishing Safety Forum wants to know more about where and how fishermen find safety information.
The industry forum is chaired by Seafish and involves a range of industry bodies and training organisations. Its ultimate goal is zero preventable deaths on UK fishing vessels.
It promotes critical fishing safety messages through the Home and Dry campaign. The most recent annual campaign focused on avoiding incidences of man overboard and carried the message that “safety is better shared”.
Fishermen Simon Bywater from Norfolk and Brian Chambers from County Down voiced a campaign animation while crew member Cameron Ritchie from Peterhead featured in a video showing what it’s like taking part in a man overboard training exercise.
The views of fishermen are vital because the online survey is part of new research by the Home and Dry Forum to help the group plan future safety campaigns.
The survey takes just five minutes, and everyone who takes part can enter a prize draw for £150 of Amazon vouchers.
